One out of 110 children are born with Autism and 1 out of 70 are boys! Until researchers find a cure for this disease the numbers will continue to increase. It affects all nationalities and ethnic groups. We need to get involved in funding Autism research organizations.

Knowing the early signs of Autism and having your babies screened as early as 16 months can benefit your child's development a great deal! Early intervention may be a step in the right direction for your child development. If you notice any unusual signs in development such as no big smiles or joyful expressions by six months; no back-and-forth sharing of sounds, facial expressions or smiles by nine months; no babbling, gestures, such as pointing, showing, reaching, no two- word meaningful phrases or waving by twelve months; no words by sixteen months; or a loss of speech or babbling or social skills at any age. If you notice any of these signs in your child's development call your Pediatrician and get your child tested! Although there is no cure for Autism there is hope. The sooner the detection the better!
